March Madness, Day One:
The yearly NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament began today and so far there's been some wild games. Several games were decided by two points or less and there were some upsets as well. 11th seeded Gonzaga, 13th seeded Morehead State, and 12th seeded Richmond all won their games today. There were several close games too. Here are the scores of every game that was decided by 5 points or less:
Butler 60, Old Dominion 58
Morehead State 62, Louisville 61
Temple 66, Penn State 64
Kentucky 59, Princeton 57
Richmond 69, Vanderbilt 66
UCLA 78, Michigan State 76
Kansas State 73, Southern Utah 68
Other winners were Gonzaga, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Connecticut, BYU, Florida, San Diego State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. Overall a pretty good start to March Madness. The morning games were great. Butler and Old Dominion was probably the best overall game. However all of the other ones that were close weren't too far behind it. Really pulling for Morehead State and Richmond's winner in the Sweet 16. Too bad Butler is a number eight seed otherwise I'd like to see them make another run like they did last year. Good stuff today. Had fun watching the games at my buddy Adam's house. Will do one of these blogs a day throughout the tournament. Hopefully tomorrow is just as good as today was.
