2011 NHL Hockey Playoffs Predictions

Here are my predictions for the hockey playoffs. Eastern Conference: Washington Capitals over New York Rangers 4-1. Capitals should win this hands down. They are clearly the dominant team in this series. Buffalo Sabres over Philadelphia Flyers 4-3. Picking the Sabres in an upset here. Gotta go with the hot team in this one. Montreal Canadiens over Boston Bruins 4-2. Canadiens are playoff tested and should be able to win this series but it will be close. Pittsburgh Penguins over Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3. This one will be much closer than people think. Western Conference: Vancouver Canucks over Chicago Blackhawks 4-1. Canucks are the best team in the league. They should win this. San Jose Sharks over Los Angeles Kings 4-2. Sharks are the better team in this series. LA will give them a run for a few games but San Jose will prevail in the end. Detroit Red Wings over Phoenix Coyotes 4-3. This will be the closest series out west. I think a lot of people are underestimating Phoenix. Anaheim Ducks over Nashville Predators 4-2. Gotta go with the Ducks here. They are the better team at least in my opinion. Second round winners: East - Canadiens and Capitals West -Canucks and Ducks Conference Finals: East - Canadiens West - Canucks Stanley Cup Champions: Vancouver Canucks
