MLB 2011 Season Predictions

MLB 2011 Season Predictions:

Alright, as many of you know it's the opening day of baseball season and I thought it would be a good idea to do a little prediction about how I think the season will run down as well as who will make it to the playoffs and go to the World Series.

American League -

East:

1. Boston Red Sox - Best overall team in the AL after their numerous off-season acquisitions.

2. New York Yankees - This will be the last year the Yankees are a power. They are aging fast.

3. Baltimore Orioles - They will do good but just miss out on the playoffs.

4. Tampa Bay Rays - The Rays lost Josh Cameron and that is going to hinder them in the long run.

5. Toronto Blue Jays - Don't expect them to be a threat.

Central:

1. Chicago White Sox - They should make a nice midseason run that sets them up for a playoff spot.

2. Minnesota Twins - They will make a run near the end but the Sox will just edge them out.

3. Detroit Tigers - Tigers will be a middle of the road team this season.

4. Cleveland Indians - Indians are just going do about the same as the Tigers.

5. Kansas City Royals - They lost Greinke which will be huge in the long run.

West:

1. Texas Rangers - I expect the Rangers to make the post-season again.

2. Los Angeles Angels - However the Angels will give the Rangers a run for their money.

3. Oakland Athletics - A's will be a team on the rise. Look for them to be playoff contenders next season.

4. Seattle Mariners - Mariners aren't going to do too much this year.

National League -

East:

1. Atlanta Braves - Braves are going to be a force. Watch out for them this year.

2. Philadelphia Phillies - Phillies will be good enough for the Wild Card.

3. Florida Marlins - Marlins will be a threat but wont make the playoffs.

4. New York Mets - Mets aren't going to be a factor at all.

5. Washington Nationals - Don't expect the Nats to be a force yet. Give them a year or two, possibly three.

Central:

1. Cincinnati Reds - Reds will be a playoff contender again.

2. Milwaukee Brewers - Brewers and their ace Greinke will make a run but will come just short of the Reds.

3. St. Louis Cardinals - Cardinals will have a tough road this year.

4. Chicago Cubs - Cubs will be a middle of the road team.

5. Houston Astros - Astros aren't going to be a factor this year.

6. Pittsburgh Pirates - Pirates are going to be in the cellar again.

West:

1. San Francisco Giants - Giants pitching and bats will be enough to get them to the postseason.

2. Colorado Rockies - Rockies will give the Giants a run for their money this year.

3. San Diego Padres - Padres lost their best batter and are going to have a tough time because of that.

4. Los Angeles Dodgers - Dodgers will be about on par with San Diego.

5. Arizona Diamondbacks - Diamondbacks are still rebuilding and wont be able to keep pace with the other four teams.

Playoff Teams -

NL: Braves, Reds, Giants, Wild Card - Phillies

AL: Red Sox, White Sox, Rangers, Wild Card - Yankees

Division Round -

NL: Phillies over Reds, Giants over Braves

AL: Red Sox over Yankees, White Sox over Rangers

Championship Round -

NLCS: Phillies over Giants

ALCS: Red Sox over White Sox

World Series -

Red Sox over Phillies

WrestleMania Feuds: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

WrestleMania Feuds: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan:

This is the latest in my stories about the feuds leading into Mania. This feud actually started last year when Sheamus brutalized Bryan on a few occassions at the end of last year. The feud disappeared for awhile until they had a backstage confrontation followed by a match on RAW where Sheamus hurt his ankle and lost to Bryan by countout. Sheamus got on the microphone and said he would retire if he lost. The following week Sheamus defeated Bryan for his US Championship. The next week Bryan challenged him to a rematch for the title at Mania and Sheamus Brogue Kicked him before accepting his challenge. This match has more heat than I think people realize because of Sheamus' attacks on Bryan last year that, if I remember correctly, everyone was mad about at the time. I think this match is going to be a possible sleeper because Bryan is the best in-ring wrestler in the world and Sheamus carries himself like a 10-year veteran. Looking forward to this match.

The Twilight Zone: Season Four, Disc Two Review

The Twilight Zone: Season Four, Disc Two Review:

Yes I rented another Twilight Zone DVD. Here's my review of it.

He's Alive -

Starts off with a man speaking at a small neo-nazi rally. It's Dennis Hopper! He's yelling about freedoms and a man says he should do something about it. The man throws a drink at him and a brawl breaks out. He gets beat up and the man says he's nothing but a punk with a big mouth. The police show up and they decide not to press charges. The man says he knew what to say just couldn't get the words out right. Peter Vollmer is a man who is looking for power and will end up in a place called...The Twilight Zone. Peter shows up at home and he is told to wash up before his old man named Ernest sees his uniform. Ernest says he peddles hate but Peter says it's a philosophy. Turns out Ernest was in a concentration camp. He tells him about the 12 million bodies. Peter tells him about his parents who didn't love him and that's why he loves Ernest like a father. Outside Peter meets a mysterious man. It's already obvious to me who the man is. I think it's Hitler. The man says to join the mob first and speak to them in their language. Says to make their hate his hate and to use their anger toward objects. Says to make the mob an extension of himself. Says to tell his people they are the minorities. He gives a practice speech to the man and then uses it at a meeting. Peter talks about the Russians doing things before America did. His speech goes over well. He becomes a star within his movement. They owe the hall they use $200. A mysterious man leaves them the money. Peter tells Frank they're really going to make it. He ends up back at the hall where the man is waiting. The man says a matter must be dealt with and says the organization needs a martyr. Says to find a man with no value while alive but will matter when he is dead. The man tells him there is no other way. Tells Peter he has found an informer and must be put out of the way cleverly. Tells his friend to eliminate Nick because he's an informant. Peter alone in the hall yelling "We have a martyr" and the man clapping. Peter tells one of his sad group members that Nick was a traitor and a fat pig. Peter uses Nick's death as propaganda in his speech. Says Nick died for their freedom and they all must live for this. Ernest at the bar and the bartender talk about Peter. Bartender says no one is laughing at him. Ernest tells him he's seen it before and says that they didn't think it would happen there either. Ernest says it mustn't happen again and he can't let it happen again. Ernest shows up and says he's heard it before, a thousand times before in Munich and Berlin. Says it's dribble then and is dribble now. Says he's a cheap copy Fuhrer. Says they are all problem children and then says that his courage his badge and that's why he can't turn him down. Peter slaps Ernest. Ernest tells them Peter is their Fuhrer and says he's a gift from the sewers before walking out. The mystery man shows up and talks with Peter about what happened. Peter yells that he plans the battle from the darkness but doesn't join in. Says why doesn't he come out and show himself to him? The man says he was making stretches before he was born and was taking over the world when he was coming out of the womb. Says I invented darkness. It's Adolf Hitler! I knew it! Peter runs away and then finally comes back. Peter says you picked me but Hitler says it's the other way around. Says he must take whatever he gives him and says he must be built from steel. Says they wlll form a force just like he did before with his own hands. Hitler says to kill the old man tonight. Peter says he'll do it right now. Hitler says this is just the beginning, just the dawn, and it will be a long, long day. He salutes Hitler and they salute back. Peter confronts Ernest. Peter says there's someone behind the group and Ernest said it will be someone more imposing than him. Ernest says he doesn't fear him. Says you can never kill an idea with a bullet. Peter says he is made of steel before shooting Ernest. Ernest's last words are that Peter has no heart. Hitler and Peter talk about how what he did felt. Peter says he is immortal and Hitler says they are immortal. Just then the police show up to arrest him for Nick's murder but he runs. They give chase and shoot him. Peter tells them they made a mistake and he's made of steel. Serling ends the show by warning about Hitler because of hatred and bigotry in towns. This was very powerful stuff.

Ilsa is happy that they will be coming to take her to the other children who are like her. Ms. Frank introduces her and tells the class she doesn't know how to speak and they will work with her until she's exactly like everybody else. Ilsa thinking to herself that what they are reading isn't words and they should learn like the way her father taught her. She has an image of a boat in her head. Ms. Frank isn't fooled and she says her father tried to force her into the same thing at her age. She overcame it and is going to help Ilsa overcome her being trained to be a medium, to communicate with the dead. Ms. Frank thinks that Ilsa was made to be a medium and Ilsa tells her no she wasn't. Two people arrive and are there to see the sheriff. They are there for Ilsa and say she was born to be telepathic. They are telepathic too. The couple from Europe know she burnt the letters. Ms. Frank makes Ilsa tell the class her name and instead of making them say her name she makes them think her name. Ilsa comes in and they say hello to her with speech and they communicate with her telepathically too. Ilsa starts saying her name in speech. Cora the wife doesn't want them to take Ilsa away. The Germans leave without Ilsa and talk about her. The man says the loss isn't right and the woman says they all wanted to help and says she gained something. Says she is loved and that is more important than telepathy. He agrees. Ending with Serling saying Ilsa escaped from the Twilight Zone. She escaped from it? Never heard that before. Good episode.

Death Ship -

Starts off with a spaceship called E-89 in the year 1999. It's going to land and take samples back to overpopulated Earth. They're going to survey the planet for colonization. That's what's supposed to happen. Three men on the ship and one of them, Mason, thinks he sees something. The Captain says he's alien contact happy, lol. Mason thinks it would be great even though it never happens. It's a shiny ship possibly. Mike and Mason prepare to land and talk about the Captain Ross acting strange lately. The ship is shaped like a UFO. They land to see that it's a wrecked ship that crash. They are now plunged into...The Twilight Zone. They get their suits ready to go out and investigate. Ross says they stay together and no one takes any risks. Mason says it looks like one of their ships. Captain is the skeptic about it. Turns out it is one of their ships and they wonder how it went so far off course. Mason wants to go inside and Ross agrees. Mason says its from Earth and Ross again is the skeptic and shoots him down. During the investigation they find a door that they won't open. They finally get it open only to find three bodies. It's their bodies! This is great. All three can't believe it. Ross tells Mike to get the auxiliary light system on and Ross doesn't understand it. Mason checks the ID badges and its them. Mason and Mike can't believe it's them but Ross wants to back away. They exit the ship. He says it's not what it seems. Ross says there has to be a logical explanation and it's not what it seems. Mason and Mike are still freaking out over what they have seen. Back on their ship and they can't get a hold of Earth. Mason thinks there's an interfering signal but Ross is even a skeptic about this not working and yells at Mason to keep at it. Ross tells them those aren't their bodies and these are their bodies. Ross has a theory about circumventing time and thinks they went into a time warp and are in a probable future. Says they aren't dead and says if they don't go up then they can't crash. Says they can prevent the crash. Now Mason is the skeptic. Ross thinks that the only pertinent thing is to stay to prevent their deaths. Mike reads the temperature and it's low. Ross doesn't want to replicate the crashed ship. Ross tells Mike they will go over it again and eventually find an answer. Mike has a daydream and he's back at home on leave. Mike is confused as to why he's back. Mike runs home to find Mary but instead finds her funeral clothes and a note about his death on the bed. Ross gets him back to reality. Mike tells Ross what happened in his daydream. Ross still thinks they'll find an answer but they realize Mason is missing. Mason now daydreaming and his daughter finds him. Mason can't believe it's her and tells her not to go away while he looks for his wife. He finds her at a picnic table with everything on it. She asks him if he's asleep and he says if I'm dreaming I'm staying. Ross shows up and tells him he's dreaming and this is a hallucination. Ross says he's coming back and they scuffle. Ross was right and Mason wakes up on the bridge of the ship. Mason is shown a newspaper clipping about his wife and daughter's death. Ross says that it has nothing to do with circumnavigating time and that the ship is not them. Says they have been tricked and the ship is a distraction by the native aliens. Says it's all a distraction and they can't make a report back to Earth. Says everything that's happened on this planet since they landed is a dillusion and they can make them believe anything. Ross says that what's going to prove that he's right is them going up and the only thing keeping them there is fear. Mason wants to know if he believes he's right and Ross says he is. Mike pulls out a gun and Mason actually agrees with Ross so Mike puts the gun away. They decide to go up. They get set and the ship takes off. They fly up and the get out of the atmosphere. It turns out Ross was right about it. Ross want to go back down and they start fighting over the controls. They almost crash but Ross somehow makes the save. Ross says that they're going back down and the ship will not be there because it will have vanished. They reach the surface again and the ship is gone. They open all the windows and when Ross opens up the last one the ship is still there. Mike says he was wrong and Ross says he'll find out what it is no matter how long it takes. Mason says they won't go up again and they won't crash. Says they're all dead but Ross wont accept it. Ross wants to find an answer but Mason keeps saying they are dead. Ross wants to keep going over it again. Ross is a man who wont see anything that he doesn't want to see. Turns out they are dead and that Ross wont accept the truth and they will be doing this for eternity. Great episode.

Overall:

I like the half hour episodes MUCH better than the full hour ones to be honest but all of these still were really good. I liked the first episode the best out of the three. I think Dennis Hopper and the Hitler storyline made it work out very well and it stands the test of time too. The message resonates as much back then as it does today. The last episode was very good too as was the middle episode. However the shorter episodes are more my style.

Twilight Zone: Season One, Disc Four Review:

This is the last of the Twilight Zone DVDs I rented from the library. This should be pretty good.

A World of Difference -

This episode is about Arthur Curtis who is in a world he thinks is real. Starts off with Arthur talking about his vacation with his wife in San Francisco to his secretary. Suddenly someone yells "Cut." He turns around and is met by a director and crew of a television show. He's in a studio. He calls information to call his house but they tell him that it doesn't exist. Curtis leaves to go home from the studio and almost gets run over outside. It's his ex-wife and she wants him to go to court. She goes to leave with him but the director warns her about him having a nervous breakdown. Curtis then tells her his name is Arthur Curtis and gives her his address and then drives the car to his house. A producer is on the phone and tells someone that he thinks he's the character in the picture. He goes to the address and gets out of the car only to scare a little girl. After they drive away his wife takes him to his house and he doesn't realize it until she tells him. Once they go to his house a big wig says they'll have to drop him from his contract if he screws up again and his wife then wants him to sign a check. During this he calls information to get the number to the fictional company he works for in the television show. The big wig guy then reads over the characters in the script to him that night. Curtis still doesn't believe it. The man tells him he's really Jerry Reagan looking for happiness. He then tells him the studio is cancelling production and Arthur Curtis is dead. The man tells him they're tearing down the set right now but Curtis says they can't and then drives off to stop them. He arrives at the studio to see them taking the set apart. After sitting at the desk he says "Don't leave me here" and then is transported into the fictional world again. He hears the voices and tells his wife that he wants to go on vaction now before he loses her. The big wig guy shows up and asks about Reagan but nobody saw him leave and he's not there. This was really good.

After drinking and having a smoke he goes to go outside but he can't open the door. He tries another door but it wont open. He starts banging on the door and yells about being locked in. He checks the drapes but there are no windows. Sam is frantic now. He then turns around and the wall opens up to reveal people looking at him and he's behind bars. He asks them why he's locked in there and they are looking at him like that. He then picks up a sign that says "Earth Creature in his native habitat." He's in a zoo habitat. Sam says that Markeson was right and people are alike everywhere. This is one of the greatest episodes ever.

He says he had to get out after she screamed and that's why he didn't kill her too. Says he's been keeping tabs on her because one day she'd figure it out. That's why he came back and he's back to take care of unfinished business. She pushes him down the stairs when he tries to attack her. The police show up. The detective says it all ties in together and makes sense. Helen wakes up and hears Marky again but it's not her but a girl who lives in the apartment building. Another solid episode.

Overall:

All of the episodes were very good. I liked every episode on this. Didn't review Execution because I already saw it earlier but it was okay. The Big Tall Wish and Execution probably are the two worst or average episodes on this DVD. Best ones were A World of Difference, People Are Alike All Over, and A Nice Place to Visit. The last episode was solid but it was too easy to figure out that the killer was the guy who showed up at her apartment. Other than that it was a solid DVD.

WWE WrestleMania XXVI Review

WWE WrestleMania XXVI Review:

This is my review of WWE WrestleMania XXVI which took place on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Starts off with a Air Force jets flying over the stadium.

Fantasia sings "America the Beautiful." I didn't like this rendition at all. The fact it startled my dogs when I was watching this should tell you something lol.

Great hype video to start the show with all of the stars of the show on it.

Excellent fireworks display to start the show. I was there live and it was great to see live. The fact they opened up the roof to let the smoke out helped too.

WWE Unified World Tag Team Championships, The Miz and Big Show (c) vs. R. Truth and John Morrison -

Starts off with R. Truth botching his own entrance song. Not a good start. They show the announce teams at the show. Starts off with Miz against Morrison. Morrison dominates and tags out to Truth who top rope legdrops Miz. Spinning Heel Kick by Truth. Fallaway Slam by Show. Show kicked off the middle rope by Morrison. Miz and Morrison going at it. Flapjack by Morrison. Show pulls Miz out and Morrison misses Starship Pain. Show catches Truth who jumps at him from over the top rope and down to the floor only to ram his back into the ringpost. Blind tag by Show and he punches out Morrison to win. Quick match. At the live show the best part was the Fallaway Slam by Show. He literally tossed Truth all the way across the ring.

Winners: Miz and Big Show

Highlights of WrestleMania week in Phoenix with highlights of Axxess, the Charity Golf Tournament, and Art Show. Funniest part was Santino crashing the golf cart, lol.

Triple Threat Match, Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase, Jr. vs. Cody Rhodes -

Story is it's more of a Handicap Match than a Triple Threat Match because DiBiase and Rhodes are still allied. Starts with Rhodes and DiBiase circling Orton. Orton out to the floor and sneaks back in to knock down DiBiase. He then clotheslines Rhodes out to the floor. Standing Dropkick by Orton to Rhodes and then one by DiBiase to Orton. DiBiase and Rhodes now double teaming Orton. Crowd into Orton. Rhodes and DiBiase in total control. Orton fights back but DiBiase clotheslines him down. Rhodes goes for a Moonsault but DiBiase covers Orton and Rhodes breaks it up before tossing DiBiase to the floor. Alabama Slam by Rhodes and DiBiase breaks it up. They start fighting and punching each other both in the ring and on the floor. Orton backdrops DiBiase to the floor and starts beating up Rhodes. Powerslams by Orton to both men. Inverted backbreaker by Orton to Rhodes. Crossbody to the floor by Rhodes to DiBiase. Double rope hung DDT by Orton. Running Punt to the head by Orton to Rhodes. Orton counters Dream Street and then RKO's DiBiase for the win. Crowd live was into Orton but mostly dead for this match. Like the videotron that comes down from the ring canopy cover and shows the logos of the wrestlers. I was the only person in my section cheering for Rhodes, lol.

Winner: Randy Orton

Josh Matthews backstage with Vickie Guerrero, LayCool, Maryse, and Alicia Fox. Vickie starts talking and boos. EXCUSE ME~! LOL Says it's her first Mania match and she will create a moment that will live forever. Jillian Hall shows up and starts singing her a song. Everyone leaves and then Santino shows up. He says Mania brought to you by Slim Jim. He bites it and Jillian Hall turns into Mae Young. He bites it again and it's Mean Gene in drag! LOL He bites into it again and it's Melina. She says anything is possible. Santino says thank you Slim Jims.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match -

Participants are Kofi Kingston, MVP, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Kane, and Christian. Crowd into Kofi, MVP, Swagger, Hardy, Kane, and Christian. At this show naturally I wanted Bourne, Ziggler, Swagger, and Christian to win. Christian and Hardy got the biggeest reactions. Starts off with everyone brawling in the ring. McIntyre goes for the briefcase first. Hardy, MVP, and Bourne triple team him. Everyone scrambling to get up the ladder but stopping each other. KEN CHOKESLAMS BOURNE OVER THE TOP ROPE AND ONTO BEJAMIN AND MVP ON THE FLOOR! Kofi throws a ladder into another ladder to stop Hardy and Swagger. Christian Monkey Flips Kofi into a ladder propped against Hardy and Swagger in the corner. Zig Zag off the ladder by Ziggler to Christian. Kofi rams a ladder into Kane. Kane powerbombs Kofi onto a ladder. Pay Dirt by Benamin to MVP. Swagger using the ladder as a weapon. Bourne kicks a ladder into Swagger. Swagger stuck under the ladder with Hardy and Christian ramming ladders into his chest. Christian, Hardy, and Bourne go for it. Swagger pushes the ladder from underneath Hardy. AIR BOURNE OFF THE LADDER BY BOURNE TO CHRISTIAN! AMAZING! HARDY HIP TOSSES BOURNE OFF THE LADDER! Swagger pushes Hardy off one ladder and onto another ladder backfirst. Shelton and MVP fall to the floor after a Powerbomb is countered into a Hurricanrana by Benjamin. Kane clotheslines them both with a ladder on the floor. Ziggler clotheslined on the top rope after Kane pushes the ladder over. Kane chokeslams Ziggler on the ladder and then starts smashing him between it and breaks the ladder in half! Trouble in Paradise by Kofi to Kane. KOFI USING THE LADDER PIECES AS STILTS! McIntyre pushes him over and he gets Stun Gunned on the top rope. Hardy pushes the ladder over and crotches McIntyre on the top rope. Christian and Hardy push Kane off of a ladder. Reverse DDT by Christian off the ladder to Hardy. Swagger and Christian fighting over the briefcase. Swagger smashes it into Christian's head and unhooks the briefcase. At the live show it took Swagger about 30 seconds to unhook it, lol. The best highlights at the live show were Kofi using the ladder pieces as stilts and Bourne's Air Bourne move. Great match other than the fact everyone was laying on the floor WAY too much which made it not as exciting at the live show.

Winner: Jack Swagger

2010 Hall of Fame induction ceremony highlights. The inductees this year are Mad Dog Vachon, Wendi Richter, Stu Hart, Gorgeous George, Antonio Inoki, Bob Uecker, and Ted DiBiase.

The Hall of Fame inductees are brought out to be announced to the live audience at the Mania show. Biggest reactions for the Hart Family, Mad Dog Vachon, Inoki, Uecker, and DiBiase. Uecker and DiBiase got the biggest reactions.

Sheamus vs. Triple-H -

Good highlight pre-match video. Cool fireworks display when Trips comes into the ring. Starts off with Sheamus talking trash. Trips slaps him in the face. Trips in control early. Running knee drop by Trips. Sheamus goes to the floor. Trips rams his head into the barricade. Chopblock by Trips. Figure Four by Trips. Sheamus whips Trips into the ringsteps. Sheamus rams Trips headfirst into the barricade. Backbreaker by Sheamus. Sheamus in control. Knees to the head by Sheamus. Both men trading punches until an Axehandle to the head by Sheamus. Powerslam by Sheamus. Back Suplex counter by Trips. DDT by Trips. High Knee by Trips. Facebuster by Trips. Celtic Cross countered and then Pedigree countered. Brogue Kick by Sheamus. Celtic Cross countered into a Spinebuster by Trips. Brogue Kick on the apron by Sheamus. Pedigree by Trips for the win. Trips celebrates and the crowd loves it. This match came across MUCH better live than on TV. Also of note I was one of only two Sheamus fans in my entire section. Halfway through the match we tried to get a Sheamus chant started but it didn't work.

Winner: Triple-H

CM Punk (with Serena and Luke Gallows) vs. Rey Mysterio -

GREAT pre-match video highlighted by Punk interrupting Rey's daughter Aliyah's birthday part and then Punk singing Happy Birthday to Aliyah. Punk makes Aliyah cry and slaps Rey in the face after calling him a coward. This is GREAT! Punk is the greatest talker in the WWE right now. Punk has a mic and it's Sermon of Hate time. Says there's over 70 thousand weak minded individuals at the show that think Rey is a superhero and that popping pills and drinking will make their problems go away. Says he's not a monster but a Savior and can save Rey. Says he will lead everyone by example and says he chooses to be better than each and every one of them. Says Rey will join the Straight Edge Society and then they will join him. THIS WAS GREAT! Punk is on another planet compared to everyone in this match. Rey is in an Avatar inspired costume for this show. Starts with Punk getting the advantage after Gallows distracts Rey. Drop toehold into the middle turnbuckle by Rey. Tree of Woe and kicks by Punk. Punk misses a baseball slide and crotches himself on the ringpost. Bodyscissors takedown off the apron countered into Punk ramming Rey headfirst into the ringsteps. Punk in control. Springboard Seated Senton by Rey. Powerslam by Punk. Series of counters by both men. Vicious kick to the head by Punk. SPRINGBOARD DDT COUNTER BY REY! Punk catches Rey during the 619. GTS countered by Rey twice. Rey misses a Frog Splash. Corner High Knee by Punk. Arm Drag by rey by Serena blocks his 619 attempt. GTS counted by Rey who sends Punk into Gallows. 619 and Top Rope Springboard Splash by Rey win it. Good match. This was the best wrestling on the show thus far. Live crowd was really into this and was split between both men. I was cheering for Punk myself.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

No Holds Barred, Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon -

EXCELLENT pre-match video running down the whole history between these two most notably the Montreal Screwjob and the storyline leading into this match. Great reaction to Bret coming out to the ring. Vince has a mic and says Bret deserves a Mania screwing. Says he payed off some people to help him and bought some lumberjacks. Says one of them is going to be the guest referee. Says Bret screwed Bret and Vince screwed Bret. Says now Vince and your entire family screwed Bret. The entire Hart family coms out. Says this is his creation before doing the Vince Walk to the ring. Bruce Hart is the ref. Bret has the mic in-ring. Says he can't believe it and asks if they all agreed to it? Says not much he can do about it and says they all probably were paid up front. Says one thing he learned from the Montreal Screwjob was there's nothing he likes better than a good doublecross. Said they all agreed ahead of time and said it's going to be remembered as the night Bret screwed Vince. Bret punching down Vince. Bret choking Vince with his shoe. Hart Dynasty beating up Vince on the floor. Vince trying to crawl away but they catch him. HART ATTACK OFF THE TOP ROPE AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR BY TYSON KIDD AND D.H. SMITH TO VINCE! WOW! Bret punching and elbow dropping Vince. Vince tries to escape under the ring but they catch him. Vince grabs a crowbar and holds them back. Bret disarms him in the ring. Bret using the crowbar on Vince. Bret goes for the Sharpshooter but stops to beat up on Vince. He then does it again and starts stomping on Vince. Bret is handed a steel chair. He sits down and looks down at Vince. Bret then uses the chair as a weapon against Vince. Finally Bret puts the Sharpshooter on Vince and Vince taps out. This was overly long garbage. Totally killed the momentum of the entire show. Live show hated this match after the first Sharpshooter attempt.

Winner: Bret Hart

Hype video for WretleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia in 2011.

Justin Roberts annonces that the attendance of this show is 72,219. I was one of them.

World Heavyweight Championship, Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge -

Great hype video about Edge and Jericho being tag team champions back in July of 2009, Edge coming back from injury, and Jericho winning the World Title. They hyped up the Spear as a super move that no one can defeat in this video. Really cool steam entrance from the tron screen above the ring that comes down when Edge comes out. Starts off with chain wrestling. Shoulderblock by Edge. Flapjack by Edge. Jericho dodges the Spear and goes out to the floor. Edge rams Jericho into the ring apron. Kick to the head as Edge comes into the ring by Jericho. Baseball Slide by Jericho. Slingshot bottom rope Clothesline by Jericho. Back Suplex by Jericho. Jericho in control. Jericho goes shoulderfirst into the ringpost after Edge dodges him. Spinning wheel kick by Edge. Front Suplex onto the top rope by Jericho. Edges knocks Jericho off the apron and he goes facefirst into the announce table. Crowd dead still because of the last match. Running clothesline off the apron by Edge to Jericho. Michinoku Driver off the top rope by Edge. Walls of Jericho countered by Edge. Sunset Flip off the middle rope by Edge. Series of counters until Jericho kicks Edge in the face. Codebreaker countered by Edge. Spear countered by Jericho into the Walls of Jericho. Crowd FINALLY into it. Lionsault by Jericho misses but he lands on his feet only for Edge to catch him into a Reverse Michonoku Driver. Enzuguiri by Jericho. DDT by Edge. Top rope forearm shot by Jericho. Jericho signals for the Spear. Big Boot counter to the Spear by Edge. Edge signals for the Spear. EDGE GOES FOR THE SPEAR BUT JERICHO COUNTERS WITH THE CODEBREAKER! Edge kicks out when he's covered. Jericho starts going after Edge's injured ankle. Walls of Jericho by Jericho. He turns it into a Single Leg Crab pulling back on Edge's ankle. Edge clotheslines Jericho over the top rope and both men fall out to the floor. Jericho grabs the World Title belt but Edge rams him into the apron headfirst. top rope clothesline on the apron by Jericho. Edge bounces back into the ref, ref goes down, and then Jericho uses the title to hit Edge in the head with it. Codebreaker by Jericho to win the match. Great match. Post-match Jericho goes to ram Edge's ankle into the ringpost but Edge fights back. He tears ip the announce tables. Jericho crawls onto one of the announce tables after Edge rams his head into it. EDGE SPEARS JERICHO BY RUNNING FROM ONE ANNOUNCE TABLE ONTO THE OTHER AND THEY FALL THROUGH THE BARRICADE INTO THE TIMEKEEPER'S TABLE AREA! AWESOME! Edge limps to the back as EMT's check on Jericho. This was the best match on the show so far. Live crowd loved this. I was cheering for Jericho amidst a whole horde of Edge fans. Crowd was dead for most of this due to the previous match which literally bored the live crowd into submission. The Spear after the match was the highlight of this.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Footage shown of the Mania bonus match, a 26-man battle royal. Highlights were Khali being dumped out by a bunch of guys, Shad eliminated by Regal, Regal eliminated by Finlay, Zack Ryder eliminating Finlay and Mike Knox, and then Ryder being eliminated by Yoshi Tatsu to win the match.

Ten Diva Tag Team Match, Layla, Michelle McCool, Alicia Fox, Maryse, and Vickie Guerrero vs. Eve Torres, Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, and Gail Kim -

LOVE Vickie's Excuse Me costume, lol. King is already making comments about Kelly's outfit. All five face divas go after the heels but they all go to the floor. Vickie bumps Kim, poses, and then turns around into Beth. Faces beating up on Vickie. Vickie gets out of it and screams in Kelly's face lol. Leg Drop by Kelly broken up by McCool. They all take turns doing their finishers on each other. This leaves Beth and Vickie. Vickie is screaming like she's in a horror movie. She screams again and sees it's McCool and not Beth LOL. Great spot. Vickie climbs to the top rope with LayCool's help and hits the Frog Splash on Kelly for the win. Short but pointless. Vickie's screaming spots were great. Crowd was into Vickie getting beat up.

Winners: Vickie Guerrero, Layla, Michelle McCool, Alicia Fox, and Maryse

WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Batista (c) vs. John Cena -

Another great pre-match hype video. This one starts with Cena winning the Elimination Chamber and then losing the World Title to Batista moments later. Batista talking about their rise at the same time starting at Mania 21 and says that the torch was passed to Cena and not him. Cena says Batista's only in it for money and he isn't. Says he's in it for the people. Batista says all Cena does is bark and he broke Cena's neck. Great visuals of Batista dominating Cena. Says Cena can't beat him. This was really good. Like Batista's heel spotlight entrance. A military rifle company comes out and does rifle trick moves. Cena comes out, salutes, and runs to the ring. Starts off with both men trading the advantage. Corner punching barrage by Cena. Forearm shot to the back of the head by Batista. Running kick to the head by Batista. Apron elbow and kick to the head by Batista. Suplex by Cena. Bulldog by Cena. Attitude Adjustment countered into a DDT by Batista. Batista in control. Cena powers out of Batista's submission hold. They trade punches. Neckbreaker by Batista. Counter Back Drop by Cena. Cena with a shoulderblock takedown. Five Knuckle Shuffle by Cena countered into a Spinebuster. Crowd seems to be more for Batista. STF by Cena but Batista reaches the ropes. Spear by Batista. Top rope test of strength. Batista knocked off the top rope and to the mat. Top rope Five Knuckle Shuffle by Cena. Attitude Adjustment blocked and then countered with a Batista Bomb by Batista. Batista can't believe it. Series of counters by both men ending with an Attitude Adjustment by Cena that only gets a two count. Cena can't believe it. Top Rope Leg Drop countered into a Batista Bomb. Batista goes for a Batista Bomb but Cena counters into the STF. Batista taps out and Cena wins the World Title. LOL at Cena celebrating with the fans wearing "We Hate Cena" T-shirts in the front row. This match was fun to watch at the live show because it was split about who the crowd wanted to win. I was for Batista myself. Match was way better than I was expecting.

Winner: New Champion John Cena

Video about Shawn Michaels' My Journey DVD. I have this DVD. It's really good.

Streak vs. Career Match, Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels -

Excellent pre-match hype video, best one on the show. Highlights shown of their match at Mania 25 a year earlier. Great set-up with Taker refusing HBK's challenge. HBK costs him the World Title at Elimination Chamber and Taker accepts only if HBK loses his career is over. HBK agrees. Highlights from every Taker Mania match. Great highlights shown from throughout HBK's career. This is only the third non-World Championship WrestleMania main events with the others being Hogan/Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper/Paul Orndorff and Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow. This match is HBK very energetic during his entrance. Awesome flames and laser lights entrance where Taker comes up from under the stage. Starts off with a staredown. HBK does the Taker throat slash. HBK chops Taker repeatedly. Snake Eyes and Big Boot by Taker. Corner Avalanche by Taker. Old School by Taker. Chokeslam by Taker countered by HBK. Tombstone countereed into an armbar submission by HBK and HBK goes after Taker's knee. Chokeslam countered by HBK. Superkick feigned by HBK. HBK going back after Taker's injured knee. Taker clotheslines HBK over the top rope and out to the floor. Taker goes for a running plancha but HBK quickly in and chopblocks the injured knee. HBK goes for the Figure Four but Taker kicks him out to the floor. Taker rams HBK backfirst into the ringpost. Ring apron Legdrop by Taker. Figure Four Leglock by HBK. Taker turns it over and now HBK is in pain before he breaks the hold. Both men trading blows. Flying Forearm by HBK. HBK NIPS UP AND TAKER CHOKESLAMS HIM! Taker goes for the Tombstone but HBK gets out of it and grabs him into the Ankle Lock. Taker goes for the ropes but HBK pulls him back and wraps his legs around Taker's leg to keep him from moving. Taker kicks his way out of it. HBK takes Taker out to the floor. MIDDLE ROPE SOMMERSAULT PLANCHA BY HBK BACKFIRES AND TAKER CATCHES HIM BEFORE DELIVERING A TOMBSTONE ON THE FLOOR! AMAZING! EMT out and Taker pushes him away to go for a cover in the ring but only gets a two count. Last Ride attempt but Taker's leg buckles as HBK counters with a bulldog and they both fall over. Top rope elbow drop countered with two knees by Taker. Hell's Gate by Taker. HBK counters it into a pin but only gets a two count. SWEET CHIN MUSIC by HBK! He only gets a two. Sweet Chin Music countered by Taker and a Last Ride. HBK gets the shoulder up by two. Taker can't believe it. Taker tosses HBK out to the floor. Taker starts tearing apart the Spanish announce table. TAKER GOES FOR A LAST RIDE ON THE TABLE BUT HBK GETS ON THE APRON AND HITS SWEET CHIN MUSIC! Taker now down on the announce table. TOP ROPE MOONSAULT BY HBK TO TAKER ONTO TAKER'S LEGS AND THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Great spot. Taker has a large scratch on his arm. SWEET CHIN MUSIC! HBK covers but only gets a two count. He can't believe it. SWEET CHIN MUSIC COUNTERED INTO A CHOKESLAM! Tombstone by Taker. HBK gets the shoulder up. Crowd goes wild. Taker is frustrated now. Taker pulls the straps down and signals that it's over. HBK pulls himself up using Taker's legs and gives the Taker throat slash sign before slapping him in the face. Tombstone by Taker and he pins HBK to end his career. Awesome post-match fireworks display after Taker wins with fireworks both inside and outside of the stadium. 18-0 shown on the tron as Taker goes to leave but then he goes back in the ring. Taker helps HBK to his feet. They talk and then shake hands and hug. Taker leaves and HBK in the ring by himself getting a standing ovation from the fans. HBK crying and waving to the fans. Lawler: "This might be the ultimate WrestleMania moment." I agree. Crowd chanting "Thank you, Shawn." Standing ovation continues. Going on 3 minutes as HBK leaves and talks to and shakes hands with the fans on his way up the rampway. HBK then applauds the fans which brings another ovation. HBK poses one last time before clapping for the fans one last time and heading to the back. What a great emotional moment to end the show after one of the greatest Mania Main Events of all time. Best match I personally have ever seen live and one of the greatest matches in wrestling history. I will never forget the moment with HBK leaving and saying his last goodbyes. One of the best if not THE best Mania ending of all time.

Winner: Undertaker

Overall:

7 1/2 out of 10 stars. Biased because I went to the show and saw Shawn Michael's last match live. The thing that hurt this show the most was the sheer amount of short and average undercard matches as well as the overly long shitfest that was Hart/Vince. However the Rey/Punk, Sheamus/Trips, Edge/Jericho, Batista/Cena, and Michaels/Taker matches were all very good. The HBK/Taker match was Match of the Year and rightfully so. How are they going to top that this year? They probably wont. Also the storylines and hype leading into this show were the best for a Mania in ages which made the show even better.

CM Punk on the Bozo the Clown Show

CM Punk on the Bozo the Clown Show:

I found this video on Youtube where current professional wrestling star CM Punk was on the Bozo the Clown show when he was eight years old. This is from a local Chicago newscast. Punk is the kid who makes the joke in the clips and then competes in the game. Pretty interesting to see. Got the video at the bottom of this blog. Good stuff.

2011 NIT Semi-Finals and Finals Predictions

2011 NIT Semi-Finals and Finals Predictions:

Alright the other tournament is in its final four starting tonight. The National Invitational Tournament, the number two tournament, is at its end with four teams remaining. Those teams are Alabama, Colorado, Washington State, and Wichita State. The first game pits Alabama against Colorado. I think the winner of this game will win the NIT. Colorado has been the most impressive out of the two coming in going by wins in the tournament but Alabama eliminated Miami so that makes them a major threat too. In the other game Washington State takes on Wichita State. Wichita State had the toughest road to the NIT Semifinals. They had to beat both Nebraska and Virginia Tech on their road to the semifinals. Washington State had to defeated Northwestern and Oklahoma State on their path to the NIT Semifinals.

Here are my predictions -

Colorado over Alabama. Colorado to me is the most impressive out of the four and I think they will win the NIT.

Washington State over Wichita State. I think Washington State will win a close one over Wichita State to reach the NIT Finals.

John Cena Pearl Harbors The Rock Edition of RAW Review

John Cena Pearl Harbors The Rock Edition of RAW Review:

-Show starts off with CM Punk in the ring with a microphone. Punk was great in this. He said that for weeks he's watched Randy Orton take out the New Nexus and that the New Nexus and the people of Chicago were his people too. However he doesn't need them because he can get new sheep anytime he wants, LOL. That was great. He also said that he cost Orton the respect of his family. On cue Orton hobbled out to the ring and nailed Punk with a DDT but couldn't hit the running Punt to the head because of his injured knee. Punk went to leave but then went back in the ring to attack Orton's leg beforre hitting the Go To Sleep. This segment was really good. This feud is MUCH better when Punk is talking on a microphone or tormenting Orton's horrible acting wife.

-Edge and Christian making fun of stipulations backstage.

-Edge and Christian defeated Alberto Del Rio and Brodus Clay. Heels worked over Christian for most of this. Ended with Del Rio tripping Edge as he sets up for the Spear. After Clay missed a corner Avalanche Edge hit the Spear for the win. Post-match had Del Rio put Christian in the Code Red on the floor. Edge chases Del Rio to the back but when he goes to check on Christian Del Rio backjumps him and then puts him in the Code Red. This match and post-match action was all very good.

-Santino Marella beat Justin Gabriel. They announced The Corre vs. Santino, Vladimir Kozlov, Big Show, and Kane for Mania. I like this for the mere fact that Santino is at Mania. Brief interference plagued match saw Santino win and then Kane did the Santino celebration post-match after a brawl between all of them. Brief but amusing.

-Undertaker came out soon followed by Triple-H. Shawn Michaels came out and talked about both of them before getting in Trips' face over why he thinks he can do what HBK couldn't. Trips said HBK got soft and didn't need to win because he already was the showstopper whereas he has to win. Trips said he grew to respect Taker and the only man he respects as much is HBK. Trips told Taker his time was up and he would Rest In Peace. Taker says he would like Trips to be the guy to put him down when the time came but now wasn't the time. Taker said HBK gave him his best matches at Mania and couldn't get the job done. Taker said the confidence and arrogance from HBK was gone and that he humbled him and said he would go in the Hall of Fame with regrets before saying he ended HBK's career before shoving the mic into HBK's chest. HBK went for Sweet Chin Music but Taker blocked and grabbed him by the throat before Trips broke it up. Trips then asked HBK to tell Taker why he would beat him at Mania. HBK left the ring and mouthed "I'm sorry, you can't win" to Trips as Taker looked on with a smirk on his face before leaving. This one segment made up for six weeks of crap segments and ass kissing video packages that set this up. This one segment was better than all of those COMBINED. Great segment.

-Jack Swagger defeated Jerry Lawler. Brief match with Swagger knocking Lawler to the floor. He then threw Lawler into the timekeeper's area at ringside. Lawler grabs a chair and repeatedly hits Swagger with it to lose by DQ. He then goes for Michael Cole but Cole hides out in the Cole Mine and then throws a drink in Lawler's face as his security holds him back. Cole is the modern Bobby Heenan folks. Acts tough and then runs and hides like a coward when confronted. Translation: I like this a lot.

-Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler defeated Daniel Bryan and John Morrison. As usual Vickie Guerrero get nuclear heat during her pre-match promo. Ziggler and Sheamus worked over Morrison for most of this. Bryan tagged in and put Ziggler in the LaBell Lock but Sheamus broke it up. Morrison saves Bryan and takes out Ziggler. Sheamus escapes from the LaBell Lock. Bryan misses a Dropkick and lands on his back before Sheamus hits the Celtic Cross for the win. Excellent wrestling here. The two tag matches were the best wrestling on this show.

-Orton backstage gives an excellent short promo about his anger issues and how much he wants to destroy Punk.

-Road Warriors in the Hall of Fame. I like this very much. They kicked ass.

-Trish Stratus and Snooki at a Jersey Shore bar. Some guy kept hitting on them so Snooki wanted Smush Smush and kicked his ass. LayCool shows up, Snooki throws a drink in their faces, and there's a catfight. This sucked except for the skin I saw from LayCool. Can Snooki go away...far away now. Pretty please? Worst part of the show but luckily it was short.

-The end of the show had The Rock come to the ring. The people went wild. Said Chicago was where he first competed in a WrestleMania and he was nervous but overcame that to create Team Bring It. He said he had a dream that he called out Cena, Cena came out looking like a homeless Power Ranger, and then Rock kicked his ass before the dream ended. Rock said it was a reality now. Cena comes out. Cena says he wanted Rock back and basically kissed his ass for five minutes. Cena said he's proud to be a hero to kids and says he's telling it like it is to Rock's face and Rock shouldn't judge him. Rock said only God can judge them but even he can't stop him from kicking Cena's ass. Miz and Alex Riley come out. Miz said Cena will lose at Mania and Rock doesn't want to get beat up and embarassed because his movies have grossed over 1 billion dollars so Rock won't do anything. Rock says it doesn't matter what he thinks and then Miz and Riley attacked him. Rock threw Riley out of the ring and DDT'd and gave Miz a People's Elbow. He threw Miz out to the floor only to be FU'd by Cena to end the show. Solid ending. Sets up multiple scenarios at Mania including a Cena heel turn that is 95% unlikely to happen.

Overall: Great show this week. Best RAW since the Road to WrestleMania started and the first one in that six week period that didn't have a Cole/Lawler segment be the best thing on the show. Other than the Snooki Jersey Shore bar fight crap segment this was a great show.

WWE WrestleMania XXVI Memories

WWE WrestleMania XXVI Memories:
Wow, it's already been one year to the day since I was at WWE WrestleMania XXVI at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Man, does time fly or what? Anyway my experience at this show was a good one. The traffic wasn't too horrible which was a good thing. However the merchandise stands were busy as hell and the lines were pretty bad. The place was packed but the people weren't pushing or shoving. The first thing I noticed from my seat when I got there was the Aztec pyramid temple inspired entrance design and the tee-pee style ring covering canopy. The pre-show battle royal was pretty good. The matches on the show were all pretty good except for the Vince McMahon/Bret Hart match. I wont go into details about the matches since I'm going to review the show tomorrow. However I will say that the Sheamus/Triple-H, Punk/Mysterio, Jericho/Edge, Batista/Cena, and Taker/Michaels matches all were the most fun to watch live. And I will say that the Sheamus/Trips match is really underrated. The crowd was into it and it didn't suck. Live it was great to watch. The matches that the crowd were most into at the live show were Edge/Jericho and Taker/HBK. The crowd was lively, the food didn't make me sick, and I got a picture of a Hulk Hogan impersonator on the way out. Fun time. If you ever get a chance to go to one I highly recommend it. The next Mania is going to be this Sunday. Tomorrow I'm going to start watching (and hopefully finish) last year's Mania.

The Twilight Zone, Vol. 39 DVD Review

The Twilight Zone, Vol. 39 DVDReview:

This is a Twilight Zone DVD with three episodes on it and hopefully it's as good as the last DVD was. Got one more I rented that has a bunch of episodes on it.

Mr. Bevis -

Starts with kids playing in the street by a man with a music accordian and monkey. Mr. Bevis is accident prone but lives a secure life. He's a kind man who also has some weird personality quirks. He's just one block away...from the Twilight Zone. Bevis arrives at work and Mr. Peckinpall wants to see him when he comes in late. Bevis gets fired for the sixth time this year. The car in front of his moves pulling his car into the street and it causes an accident. He comes home to find out he's being evicted so naturally he goes to the bar to get drunk. At the bar he looks in the mirror and sees a man at a table but when he looks over he sees nothing. When he goes over to sit at the table he meets J. Harvey Hempstead his guardian angel. Hempstead shows him some past members of his family. The guardian angel resets his day and he gets to redo it. Hempstead changes his clothes and he goes on his day. He's now the new Bevis and a few minor things are different. People are acting differently around him and he doesn't know what to do. Bevis even has a new car. No one says hi to him at work anymore. His personality quirks have been removed too. Hempstead tells him he's not the same Bevis. Hempstead says he doesn't get Bevis and Bevis doesn't like the new Bevis and wants to go back because he likes it better. Bevis has a good outlook about things and is going to finish the ship Ironsides for the little boy and drives off in his car. Honestly I didn't like this episode. Wasn't too exciting and there wasn't a real twist to it.

The Silence -

Starts off with a man talking and his voice echoing through the ear of a man across the room. He wants to make a wager with his friend. The note the man takes across the room and the terms are part of a casino called...The Twilight Zone. Tennyson reads the note and asks if it's a joke. Colonel Taylor says it's not a joke and that he's serious. Taylor says he will bet him $500,000 to be silent for a year, he will be watched, and monitored and cannot say a word for a year. Says he can only speak through writing. Says Tennyson's voice has become intolerable and he can't take it so he decided to offer a large sum of money just to get silence. Says Tennyson is shallow and callous. Says Tennyson is in desperate straights, has debts, and says he'd probably do anything for money except for maybe stay silent for a year. Tennyson says he can either ignore him or accept his wager. Taylor says he'll be incarcerated downstairs in a room with microphones, his cameras will be in the room, and he can be observed at any time. Tennyson says he wants the check certified and Taylor says no and that everyone there can vouch for him. Tennyson leaves and tells another man he loves a woman but she shops religiously and he has no money. Fast forward and Taylor is amazed he's gone nine weeks without speaking. Says he underestimated Tennyson. The months pass and still Tennyson doesn't speak. Another member tells him he's going to lose and he hopes he has the money at the end of the year. Taylor goes downstairs to talk to him and says it's gone too far and offers him $1,000 to leave right then but Tennyson refuses. Taylor uses mind games to say his wife has been seen with other men and he might lose her. Says it still might be possible for him to save his marriage. It doesn't work. The mind games continue from Taylor as the time goes on. It reaches one year and everyone can't believe he lasted one year. The other man tells Taylor he destroyed himself and rumors about him gossiping about his wife. He tells Taylor that he is weak and the boy is strong. They applaud Tennyson when he is released from the chamber. Tennyson comes out and asks for the money from Taylor. Taylor tells him that he's a fraud and has no money but lost most of his money years ago which forced him to reveal all of this and that he is the superior member. Taylor says he's going to leave. Tennyson stops him from leaving the club and writes a note. Taylor reads the note. It says that Tennyson had the nerves to his vocal cords severed because he knew he couldn't keep his part of the bargain. Great ending.

On Thursday We Leave For Home -

Starts off with a Captain telling another man to turn the frequency in another direction. The people under his command are all in line waiting to get water. A man comes out and the Captain chastized him for not going to his radar post on time and says he will be taking over his post for. They've been stranded on an alien planet with two suns for thirty years with no radio contact. Their ship was the Pilgrim I, the first colonization ship from Earth. William Benteen is the Captain and the leader of the stranded colonists. A signal from Earth a month earlier said a rescue ship would be coming to pick them up. Captain is going to have them cut off the water to use the water to fix up the machines. A woman commits suicide and they bury her. That was the ninth person in the six months to commit suicide. The young man wants to talk about rules and Benteen talks about the young stealing from the old and disregarding the food rationing. Benteen has them all say "There's a ship coming." Right after they say this there's a meteor storm. They all scramble to the cave for safety. A little boy is scared and wants Benteen to talk about the Earth. He talks about leaves changing color, water in the ocean, clouds in the sky, about the night sky, and snow in the winter. The boy asks why they left. Benteen says he thought they could find another planet like Earth, a planet without war, and make their own way but they couldn't do it on this planet and that they are waiting. Just then the meteor shower stops and Benteen hears the rescue ship arriving. The rescue ship arrives and it looks like a UFO. Captain Sloan comes out and tells them their orders are to take them back from Earth. Everyone celebrates. Sloan and Benteen go over plans to leave in three days. Sloan tells him about Earth and say that nothing has changed. For some reason Sloan keeps asking about the caves and rooms underground wondering if they are colder. Sloan gives the people all sorts of new things. Benteen is starting to get jealous. Benteen is wanting to get everyone prepared to leave but instead Sloan shows up and starts telling them about what it's like on Earth. Sloan wants to have a ball game after they are done and everyone agrees but Benteen is left by himself in the cave. Benteen tells Sloan that here on the planet he is in control but on the ship Sloan is. Sloan tells him he's not trying to usurp his power. Sloan ends the game and Benteen tells him he's got an iron will. Says he's been the governor, father figure, and leader for 30 years. Sloan tells his man Benteen thinks he's a God and they're taking him out of his heaven. Benteen has decided that on Earth that they are staying together on Earth. He tells Sloan that the people are children and that they will be staying together. Sloan tells Benteen to ask them. During the meeting they are asking about the Earth cities and Sloan says they will stick together. Benteen says that they will stay together and there will be good farming. The younger man tells him that they will go off on their own. Benteen then goes on a rant about people fighting each other to stay alive and that's why they need to stay together. He wants them to chant "Together" but only four or five people say it and no one else does. Benteen walks out of the room. Benteen finally meets up with Sloan. Benteen tells him they called him the messiah and they brought nothing but selfishness. Sloan says they have no diseases or viruses because they are in a sterile environment. Says they need to rejoin society as individuals. Benteen says Earth was incredible but about an Earth that doesn't exist and an Earth that is all a lie before saying they cannot go back there. He then gathers the people to tell them something. During a new meeting Benteen tells them about violence and hatred on the Earth. He tells them that if they leave they will die and they don't belong there. Sloan wants them to vote on it. Benteen says it will never be a garden. Sloan says Earth is a race of men struggling for survival and there will be no Captain Benteen's down there. Says they wont be sheep and when they pray to God his name isn't Benteen. They vote and everyone but Benteen raises their hands. Benteen grabs a metal pipe and starts whacking the UFO before being tackled down by one of his men. Says tomorrow they will be getting on a ship they think will take them to paradise but instead they will be going to Hell. Sloan goes into the cave with one of his men looking for Benteen. Sloan wants to talk. They try to talk him into coming out and leaving with them but he only appears after they leave. Benteen starts talking to the empty room about the beauty of the Earth but then suddenly runs out to see the ship leaving. He continues to say that the Earth is green and starts yelling not to leave him there and he wants to go home. Instead Benteen is left alone on the planet. Great episode about power and control.

Overall: I liked the second episode the best out of the three episodes. The first one was the worst because it wasn't as good as a normal Twilight Zone episode. However the second episode more than made up for it with the great twist ending. The third episode was long but it deals with people having too much control and power only to lose it.

WrestleMania Feuds: Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge

WrestleMania Feuds: Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge:

This next feud I'm going to cover involves the participants in the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XXVII. This feud started after Alberto Del Rio chose Edge to be his Mania World Championship opponent after winning the 2011 Royal Rumble match. Edge insulted and attacked Del Rio before Del Rio smashed a Mariachi guitar onto Edge's arm. At the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view Del Rio attacked Edge after his Elimination Chamber match victory. Christian returned and saved Edge. Edge and Del Rio had a contract signing which Christian interrupted. Soon Del Rio had his NXT Season Four rookie Brodus Clay by his side and set up a tag team feud. Christian and Edge won a tag match against Del Rio and Clay the week after. Christian beat Del Rio in a cage match but Edge went for Del Rio's car with a chair only to be ambushed by Clay and then have his arm attacked with a steel chair. This feud is getting good especially with Clay and Christian being added to the mix. This feud has a lot of heat and has had a lot of good action leading into Mania as it relates to it too. I think this match will be the better of the two World Title matches and should have some excellent wrestling in it. Here are some videos related to the feud.

WrestleMania Feuds: Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

WrestleMania Feuds: Randy Orton vs. CM Punk:

This is another one of the feuds heading into WrestleMania XXVII this weekend. This feud pits my personal favorite wrestler CM Punk against Randy Orton. This feud started back when Punk was World Champion in 2008 and Orton attacked him backstage thus costing him the title. Flash forward to this year and Punk costing Orton the World Title to The Miz at the Royal Rumble. In the road to Elimination Chamber Punk and the New Nexus attacked Orton and Punk let the world know his disdain for Orton. The night after Elimination Chamber on RAW Orton punted Husky Harris in the head and the anonymous RAW General Manager made a match between the two the following week but made the stipulation that if any New Nexus member beat Orton they could be at ringside. However if they lost then they wouldn't be allowed at Mania. Orton beat all of them and had the advantage after Punting all of them in the head. However Punk came back the following week by luring Orton into a trap and hitting his knee with a wrench. Punk then followed that up by going after Orton's knee and giving him the Go To Sleep after some trash talk. Also Orton played up the injured knee to perfection. The moment they stopped with the recycled Punts every week and let Punk talk this really picked up. This is an old style grudge match and the last two weeks made up for the Punt Angles every week that got old after awhile. This should be really good.

They might learn something.

Mysterious Island Review

Mysterious Island Review and Running Commentary: My final review of the night is of the movie Mysterious Island. I saw this a few times when I was a kid on TBS and TNT. If I remember correctly this was a very good movie. Running commentary - Starts off during The Siege of Richmond in 1865. A captain and his men are locked inside of a military prison. Judging by their uniforms I'd say they were most likely union soldiers. They plan on using a balloon to escape. They attack the guuards and take their clothes. They fight off some more guards and then escape in the balloon. The four escapees barely get out of the storm in the balloon and there's also a Confederate prisoner on the balloon with them. They keep the Confederate since he can control the balloon. After four days they finally decide to go lower but their control mechanism gets destroyed in the process. The balloon gets a hole in it and they see land. They cut off the basket only to end up on land the next morning. After getting back together only to realize that the captain is missing they see smoke and find the captain. The Captain realizes he didn't set the fire since he didn't have any matches. The Captain starts giving orders and comes up with a plan to climb the volcano to see if there's any way of escaping. They make spears and go on their journey toward the top of the volcano. Once on the other side of the island they find geysers. They then go to find food. A GIANT CRAB! The fight the crab with spears and save their comrade before killing the crab by pushing it into the geyser. AWESOME! Now they're eating crab, lol. They climb to the top and find some goats before one of them finds the volcanic crater. After this they see a small boat in the water. They find two English shipwrecked women and tell them about the island. The Captain comes up with a plan for shelter and having a watch at night. While wandering the island they find a cave with vine ropes hanging down from it. The Captain goes inside to investigate. Inside he finds Bones and finds a suicide note on the table nearby. They decide to use the cave as a base and soon find a chest in the water with a lot of the things they need. They find something about the Nautilus and remember hearing something about that ship from a few years earlier. A GIANT CHICKEN! They kill the chicken and eat it, lol. Oh great...a romantic storyline. OH NOES! DON'T GO IN THE GIANT BEEHIVE! A GIANT BEE! The bee traps them in a honeycomb and the other see a ship. The happy couple finds a ship in a cave after escaping the beehive as everyone else hides their stuff from the in-coming ship. Some pirates come ashore and they kill them only to be shot at. The pirate ship is sunk by something. On the beach they run into a man with a seashell scuba suit named Captain Nemo. He said he knows about who they are and was the one who saved the Captain earlier. Nemo says his Nautilus vessel can't go to sea again. Nemo wants solitude and doesn't want to be around people. He tells them that the volcano is soon going to erupt. Nemo says he needs their help and says the ship they need is already out in the ocean. This scene is really good. Nemo tells them about his experiments in horticultural physics such as the bird and the crabs. Says he's conquered the causes of war, famine and economic competition. He made the Food of the Gods, lol. Captain Harding is the skeptic, lol. There's always a skeptic. Nemo is going to construct a pipeline made from bamboo. lol HOW IN THE HELL DO THEY HAVE SEASHELL LASER GUNS?! LMFAO Harding, Nemo, and crew go underwater and Nemo shows them an ancient sunken city just off the island's coastline. So Atlantis is there too? Insteresting. The volcano starts erupting earlier than they planned on. Harding comes up with a plan to quickly get the ship up using the pumps of the Nautilus. Nemo agrees and stays behind to work the pumps while everyone else goes for the sunken pirate ship. They go for the sunken ship as the volcano erupts. IT'S A GIANT NAUTILUS SQUID CREATURE! They escape but Nemo is killed during the volcanic eruption and they pledge to do good when they return to the world. Movie ends. Overall: 3 out of 5 stars. Too much narration for my taste but it's an instant classic for the giant chicken, giant bee, and giant crab battle scenes. Good stuff there but the characters sucked and there was too much talking going on for my taste.
